Odd ideas:
June 14: Flag Day: Have players show off their ideas and perhaps have a contest?
June 20: Summer Begins: Perhaps have a boat race?
April 22 Earth Day: Uprising of the Mobs trying to take back our server to the natural way it used to be?

Holidays:
July 4: Obviously all mobs should detonate into fireworks

I second Malice's idea abot the boat race! Great ideas, all of them! Dwarf, you should listen to her more often.

I had the same idea about the boat racing, Malice! You can actually boat all the way from the northern sea where Bluetopia is all the way down to the southern sea by Eschaton.

I'm not sure if it's still an issue with boats, but if it's anything like it was then any extended length boat race turns into a battle of who has the best internet connection.


I'm thinking for a longer race it might be best to do it Amazing Race style. Put little challenges at the various landmarks along the way that you must solve, and waiting for everyone to finish before starting the next leg of the race (those coming later/last either being eliminated or incurring penalties. Or something. Whatever seems the most fun and workable).



We'd also need to coordinate to make sure people show up. I think waiting for Summer (mid-June? What day is the 20th?) might be a good idea there.
A race around the world does sound like fun.
